I turned to you calmly and said, "Son, it's better to ask "please mama, may I have a drink"
You looked me straight in the eye and said "please mama, something something water"
You didn't really say something something, but it was a couple of words that I don't know how to type to make it sound how you said it, but it could have been "mayIhave..."
Oh son, this has made me a very happy mama.
